Privacy policy
The short version
Zoneception has no account, no analytics, no ads and no third-party services. Your portfolio lives on your devices and syncs through your own iCloud. We operate no server that could hold it and have no way to see it.
Who we are
Zoneception is made by NetSmiths Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 17311406), registered office 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom. NetSmiths Ltd is the data controller for any personal data described in this policy. Contact: hi@netsmiths.com.
What the app stores, and where
Your domain list, tags, notes and settings are stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your personal iCloud via CloudKit — under your Apple ID, inaccessible to us. Registrar API tokens are stored in your device Keychain and are only ever sent directly to your registrar.
Network requests the app makes
Three kinds only: requests to public registration data (RDAP, and WHOIS for a few country registries) for the domains you track, made directly from your device; if you connect a registrar, requests to that registrar's API using your own token; and an anonymous daily download of the European Central Bank's public exchange-rate feed for currency conversion. None passes through any server of ours.
This website
zoneception.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties — fonts and images are served from this domain. Your theme preference is kept in your browser's local storage and never transmitted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold (for most users: none, beyond any support email you send us). Write to hi@netsmiths.com. You may also complain to the ICO.
