“You've never once meant to let a domain expire.”

Features

Everything you need, nothing you don't.

One list, every registrar.

Cloudflare, Porkbun, Dynadot, NameSilo, Name.com and more — connected with your own API token, read directly from your device. Anything else, import by CSV in seconds.

Always current, automatically.

Expiry dates, transfer locks, DNSSEC and nameservers refresh in the background from public registration data. No copy-pasting from a dashboard ever again.

Alerts that actually reach you.

Ninety days out, thirty, fourteen, seven, one — on the device in your pocket, not buried in an inbox filter you set up in 2019.

Built for four hundred names, not four.

Instant search, multi-column sort, saved views, bulk edit, tags and projects. The list stays fluid no matter how far your portfolio has got away from you.

Watch names you don't own yet.

Track a name someone else is sitting on and get told the moment it stops being registered.

Yours to take with you.

Full export, always free, in a format you can actually read.

Insights

The part your spreadsheet can't do.

Every domain tool will show you a list. Zoneception reads the whole portfolio at once and tells you things you didn't know to look for.

What next year costs.

Committed renewal spend over the next twelve, twenty-four and thirty-six months, converted into one currency, bucketed by month so you can see the bad ones coming.

The names that never went anywhere.

Zoneception spots domains that have never resolved to anything and adds up what you've spent holding them. It's usually a bigger number than you'd guess.

Where your risk is concentrated.

What share of your portfolio — and your annual spend — sits with a single registrar.

What isn't locked.

Transfer locks, DNSSEC and auto-renew, shown as coverage across the whole portfolio, with the gaps listed.

Your portfolio over time.

Snapshots, so you can see the count and the cost moving — plus the nameservers you've drifted away from, still pointing at a provider you left two years ago.

The honest bit: Zoneception won't tell you what a domain is worth. Nobody can, and the tools that claim to are guessing. It tells you what you're spending and what you're actually using.

How it gets your data

No middleman. No account. No server of ours.

Public registration data. It comes from RDAP — the public, standardised replacement for WHOIS. A direct request from your device, no key and no intermediary.

Registrar connections. An API token you generate yourself, stored in your Keychain and sent straight to your registrar. Nothing passes through us.

No Zoneception account. Because there is no Zoneception server. We never see your portfolio.

Cross-device

One app, all your screens.

Built for the Mac, where the work happens — a proper sidebar, a dense sortable list, and a menu-bar item showing what's next to expire. On iPhone and iPad it's the companion: search, check, and get told before something lapses. Synced through your own iCloud, so nothing passes through us.

Privacy

Private by design.

No account. No analytics. No ads. No third-party services. Your portfolio lives on your device and syncs through your own iCloud — we have no server that could hold it and no way to see it. Registrar API tokens are stored in your Keychain and never leave your devices. The only network requests Zoneception makes are to public registration data and, if you connect one, to your own registrar.

FAQ

Questions you'd actually ask.

Do I need an account?

No. There isn't one. Sync is your iCloud.

Which registrars can it connect to?

Cloudflare, Porkbun, Dynadot, NameSilo and Name.com at launch, using an API token you generate. Namecheap requires you to allowlist a fixed IP address, which doesn't work on a laptop, so Namecheap domains come in by CSV import — as can any registrar we don't support directly.

Does it work with country domains like .uk and .io?

Yes, though the data varies. Country-code registries aren't bound by the same rules as .com, so a few return less information. Where a field isn't published, Zoneception tells you rather than showing you a blank.

Can it renew or transfer domains for me?

No. Zoneception reads your portfolio; it never changes it. Renewals and transfers stay at your registrar, where they belong.

Will it tell me what my domains are worth?

No. Domain valuation is guesswork dressed up as data. Zoneception tells you what you're spending and what you're using.

Is there a subscription?

No. One payment. Pro is yours forever; a future major version may be a separate upgrade.

What happens to my data if I stop using it?

Export everything, any time, free. It was always yours.

Find out what you're actually paying for.

Import your portfolio in a couple of minutes and see the whole thing at once — probably for the first time.

One-off purchase. Your data stays in your iCloud.
